The brand I decided to do some research on was Rivian. Rivian is a new car manufacturer that produces electric cars and trucks. When looking on Rivian's social media platforms, I saw a couple of people who wanted different options for their car's interior. Some of the options the consumers were wanting were a Carmel/tan interior instead of plain black. Another thing consumers were wanting was different options when it comes to the technology inside of the vehicle, people are wanting lane assist, better stereos, and other technological advances. Overall, their social media had lots of good reviews when it comes to customers. Most of the comments I stumbled upon were praising the company and wanting them to keep up the good work.  Rivian's value proposition is to keep the world adventurous forever. For my marketing in the news blog post, I decided to choose Mcdonald's and how they won over marketers with their “eyebrow-raising ad”. For the first time in Mcdonald's advertisement history, they came up with a commercial that doesn’t showcase their restaurant or their food. Instead, they followed a group of office workers using a knowing, raised eyebrow signal to communicate an invitation to get Mcdonald's food without saying a word about it. Another takeaway from this ad was they don’t show any Mcdonald's branding until the end of the advertisement. But instead, their iconic assets are subtly placed throughout the commercial. In the beginning, we see a red and yellow outfit that advertises itself as a Mcdonald's commercial. We also see a hand-drawn logo on a yellow post-it note that signifies what is being advertised during the commercial.  Hello there, my name is Anthony Tumbarello. I am currently majoring in marketing in hopes of becoming some sort of a sports marketer. I am originally from Astoria, OR but now am living in Corvallis, OR where I attend both Oregon State University and Linn Benton Community College. The thing that prompted me to take this class was the information I was going to learn and the knowledge I was going to take away from this class at the end of this year. I am currently a marketing major at Oregon State University. I eventually hope of becoming a sports marketer for some baseball organization. The thing that I am most looking forward to learning in marketing would be what is takes to become a good marketer.
